Umar Suleman Wali was born in Kano State, Nigeria. He grew up in a religious home where Islamic teachings and morals were strongly upheld. He began his educational journey at Gidan Galadima Islamiyya, and later continued his western education in various institutions in Kano State. In 2015, Umar entered the business world, starting humbly as a street vendor selling socks, face masks, and sandals in Kano’s major markets. He gradually expanded his product range, business skills, and network.

Later, Umar started his own clothing & accessories retail outlet called UMAR DESIGNER WARES. He sourced his clothes especially luxury kaftans from UAE, Turkey, India, and local designers. Umar’s business grew rapidly due to his focus on customer satisfaction, affordability, and quality. In 2022, Umar established UMAR DESIGNER LUXURY, a prestigious boutique specializing in high-quality fancy fabrics.
